Currumbin Valley

Every second week - Next Retreats :

March 5th to 11th

A nourishing retreat in the Currumbin Valley open for all to immerse in meditation, yoga, nature community and the wisdom of living in peace.

Do you wish there was a peaceful place in nature you could go to frequently to rest, nourish your body and mind and grow spiritually?

Do you need a break from the rush of life to connect with yourself and others and engage in heart-based practices?

Do you wish you could have time just to be, read, practice yoga and meditate in nature?

So, Welcome to the Coexist in Peace Community Retreat!

The idea behind the COEXISTING WEEK is to open a sacred space on the land for people to rest, connect, heal and grow, and to make this experience accessible and regular.

Benefits of the Coexisting in Peace Community Retreat:

The Coexisting in Peace week retreat takes place every fortnight at ANANDA and is a way to deepen our ability to coexist in peace and reconnect to the land and what is most essential in others and ourselves.

Karma Yoga

As part of your participation in the retreat, you are invited to operate from a sense of community and contribute a small amount of your time to the daily tasks that support the ANANDA Family. In these new times, we are being invited to step out of the individualistic “I” mentality and step into the “we” reality. Such new way of understanding life lays the foundation for a new and more humane and peaceful world to emerge, as we then begin to operate on the universal laws of interbeingness and oneness.

Daily activities include cooking, gardening, cleaning, building, creating tracks in the forest, attending to the mindfulness bell and ensuring the tidiness of common spaces, amongst others. These tasks are rotational and provide an experience for us all to let go of self-importance of the ego and to engage in selfless service to the greater good and liveliness of our immediate community.
